The "Arena Berlin" is located in the "Alt-Treptow"-district diretcly by the river "Spree".
The building complex was build in 1927 as a bus depot after being planned by the imperial building minister Franz Ahrens and was the largest self-supporting hall of Europe by the time.
The synthesis of industrial architecture of the twenties and a moderne event-infrastructure mark the charme of the heritage-protected building complex.
In 2000 the depot hall was widely renovated.
With 6.500m² of event-space and an additional 650m² of extra space the "Arena Berlin" offers sufficient room for about 9000 visitors.
